Ancestry Library Edition is available remotely to all Ohio library cardholders through May, courtesy of ProQuest and its partner Ancestry. Access to Ancestry Library is provided by Libraries Connect Ohio.
Visit https://ohioweblibrary.org/db/ancestry and enter your Ohio public library card number to access Ancestry Library.
If you don't have a card, email us at email@example.com to register for a temporary card. Please include your full name, address, phone number, birth date and a four digit number to use as your PIN.

The lending of microfilm from the Family History Center in Salt Lake City has been discontinued. You can find the digital images of select historical records on FamilySearch.org. Some items may require that you access it at a family history center or affiliate library and will display an error message when you try to access the site. This service is NOW AVAILABLE when using the library's computers. Urbana area newspapers from 1822 - 2017 are available online through this site. Please note: some changes have been made to the site. Search by name, keyword, etc. or browse through the paper from a particular day on the link below...

Also available at the library and at home...HeritageQuest Online which provides access to 25,000 family and local histories, the complete U.S. Federal Census from 1790-1930, the Periodical Source Index (PERSI), and the Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files.
To access Heritage Quest from home, you must log in from the link located on the Champaign County Library's web page. You will be prompted for the barcode on your Champaign County Library card.
