Is the library open?

Both library buildings are closed.  We are offering curbside holds pick-up service at the Main Library.

 

Can I still get books and movies from the library?

You are now able to place holds on items through our card catalog and use the curbside pick-up service to get physical items  Staff will contact you to schedule a time to pick up your holds.

You can still download ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music, graphic novels and magazines from our digital collection.  Access to all our online resources is free when you use your library card and PIN.  Information and links are listed below.

 

Will I be fined for overdue materials while the library is closed?

No. We are currently not charging fines, so there will be no late fees on items you currently have checked out.  

You may notice items you place in the book drop are still on your account.  Items returned will be held in quarantine for 3 days and will not be checked in until that time is over. 

 

Can I return items I have checked out while you are closed?

A book drop is located on the west side of the building.  

Items that are returned in the book drop will be held in quarantine for a few days and will not be checked in until after that time.  If you check your account online, items will still appear on your account until they are able to be checked in.

 

When will the library reopen?

The library building is closed until further notice.  We are offering curbside service.  We will be reopening in phases, so please watch for updates.

 

Do you offer curbside pickup?

Curbside holds service is now being offered at the main library. 

  • Place your holds online or over the phone.
  • We'll notify you to schedule a pick up time.
  • Park in one of the marked spots on the library's east side.
  • Call 937-653-3811 when you arrive.
  • Open your trunk and return to your car.
  • A staff person will place items in your trunk.

Return all items in the book drop.

 

Is the library’s WiFi still available?

WiFi is still available in the parking lot of both library locations. 

 

Can I still sign up for a library card while the library is closed?

You may sign up for temporary card while we are closed by sending an email to: reference@champaigncountylibrary.org

Please include the following information: Full Name, Address, Phone Number, Birth Date and a four digit number to use as a PIN.

 

I saw the article about the 3D printed ear guards?  Are they still available?

A limited number of ear guards are available.  If you are interested in receiving one of the 3D printed ear guards that can be worn with masks, please email us at reference@champaigncountylibrary.org.

 

I have another question. Can I speak with someone at the library?
