The Champaign County Library invites you to participate in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. This free program encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before they enter kindergarten. Any child from birth until he or she enters kindergarten can participate in the program. You can pick up a registration pack at the library or keep track online through Beanstack.
The time needed to complete the program is up to the family. You can go at your own pace. Just keep track of the books read on your reading tracker. Read books you check out from the library, books you own or even e-books you download to a device. You can even repeat books as many times as your child wants. It all counts.
