Database Highlight This database provides access to military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served. Only available in the library on the library’s computers or by using the library’s wifi. How long can I keep items I check out? All materials, excluding entertainment DVDs, check out for 14 days. Entertainment DVDs check out for 7 days. Will I be fined for overdue materials? No. The library does not charge fines for overdue items. There are still fees for lost or damaged items or fines already posted to your account. There is a small notification fee if an overdue notice is mailed to you (this is done when an item is 2 weeks overdue). You may sign up for email notifications to avoid this charge. Ask a staff person about this service. If I am not finished with an item, can I renew it? Yes, you may renew most items. Holiday materials for two months preceding the holiday and any item that has a hold request may not be renewed. Renewals may be made in person, online or over the phone. Can I renew my items online? Visit "My Account" to log in using your library card number (the entire number without the spaces) and your PIN (personal identification number). If you do not remember your 4-digit PIN, please contact the library. Can I place a hold on items? Yes. You may place holds on items through the card catalog or a staff person can assist you. You will have three days to pick up your item after you have been notified. If it is not checked out within three days, the item will be passed on to the next patron. Do the libraries offer WiFi? WiFi is available at both library locations. Do you have copiers for the public to use? Yes. A public copier is available at both libraries near the Service Desk. Black and White copies are 10¢ each and Color copies are 25¢ each. Can I send or receive a fax at the library? Yes. There is a 50¢ charge for each page to send or receive a fax.
